Apply for T2 Housing

2008-09 T2 Selected Student List

As a current first-year student you have the opportunity to get a head start on the housing selection process for next year by applying for a space in Mayer Residences, the home of the T2 Sophomore Year Experience program.  Some of the advantages and opportunities of living in Mayer:

  • Live in the center of attention from multiple campus partners and participate in activities that range from academic to social
  • Have a Resident Advisor that is  specially trained to help you in your career search
  • Be the first to meet and interview with employers who are recruiting on campus
  • Quickly land an ideal internship for the school year or upcoming summer
  • Have the luxury to visit a specialized T2 Career Coach and T2 Leadership Director who have offices in Mayer
  • Advance your career goals and interpersonal/leadership skills through the unique programming
  • Attend T2 Faculty Dinners, and develop stronger relationships with faculty, peers, and staff at one of New Orleans finest restaurants

Some of the objectives as a resident of T2 @ Mayer:
Visit Career Coach at least once per semester
Complete a résumé revision
Attend residential programming and be active in the community
Attend one faculty dinner

How to apply….

  • The deadline to apply is Friday, February 29, 2008 by 5:00 p.m.  In addition to the application (see below), the following will be required to complete an application packet:
    • A Current Resume  
    • Answer the following essay questions:
      • What is one thing you learned during your freshman year that will help you as a sophomore?
      • What are some goals you want to accomplish before you graduate Tulane?
      • How do you feel you can contribute to the Mayer Hall Community and T2 as a resident?
  • Applicants should submit ONE copy of the Application Packet arranged in the following order:
  • A selection committee for the community has been formed.  In addition to the students, the Career Coaches, Leadership Staff, and Housing and Residence Life Staff will also participate in the selection process.
  • Selection announcements will be made on Monday, March 10, 2008 by 5:00 p.m. 
  • If you are not selected for Mayer, you will still be required to participate in the room selection process for rising sophomores.  That process will occur after Spring Break and information will be distributed separately from this process.
  • Applicants must have a 2.5 cumulative and semester grade point average at the completion of Spring 2008 semester and beyond. 
  • Applicant’s judicial records will be reviewed by University staff only.  A conduct record will not automatically preclude you from consideration to be selected.
